Yana Obretenova has commenced her path in music at School Of Arts „Kliment Ochridski“ in Dobrich, Bulgaria in the percussion instruments class. At the age of 6 she started taking various lessons in music, when in 5th grade she discovered percussion, while she was also talking lessons in classic guitar. She has participated in many concerts, performed in the brass band of the school and until her graduation she had the chance to participate in multiple international festivals in Italy, Romania and France.
In 2018 she participated in project „School radio waves“ sponsored by „Erasmus+“ as exchange student with various European schools. She also took part in „AUBG Multi-talent Quest“ event of the American College in Blagoevgrad, where she wins 2nd place in „Art Performance“ category.
In 2019 Yana was admitted in Bulgarian National Music Academy „Pancho Vladigerov“ in the class of Prof. Hristo Yotsov and Atanas Popov. Currently, she’s working on her Bachelor Degree, while she’s the main performer in the concerts of the NMA „Pancho Vladigerov“ big band, and she’s also actively performing in many clubs in Sofia.
